Let’s be real: if you’re trying to drop a Custom UV lamp into a high-end production line in Europe or North America, you can’t just wing it. You need that CE mark. It isn’t just some bureaucratic piece of paper to check off a list. For us, it’s the only way to prove the lamp won’t blow a fuse, leak radiation, or—worst case scenario—start a fire in your plant.
What’s happening under the hood
When we design a UV lamp, we think about way more than just wattage and wavelength. CE rules force us to look at every single spot where things could go wrong. Take electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), for example. We test the ballast to make sure it isn’t screaming electrical noise into your system. Because if it is? Your PLCs and sensors start glitching, and suddenly your whole line is acting possessed. Then there’s the hardware.
