We use high-purity synthetic quartz for the envelope because standard glass just blocks UVC rays. It’s a simple choice, but it’s the only one that works. Making sure they actually fit If you’re wiring up a huge sterilization system, the last thing you want is a headache during installation. We obsess over the small stuff, like pin alignment and wattage. I’ve seen 30W bulbs that actually pull 35W—that’s a great way to fry your ballast. We keep that variance within ±5% so you don’t have to worry about your hardware melting down. And the fit matters. Whether you’re using G13 bi-pins or something more specialized, it needs to be snug.
